blasted by Sporting Lisbon president for 'manipulating' Portugal keeper Rui Patricio over Wolves move

Sporting Lisbon president Bruno
de Carvalho has confirmed that
goalkeeper Rui Patricio has asked to have his contract
terminated - claiming he is being
manipulated by agent Jorge Mendes into trying to force a move to
Premier League new
boys Wolves. Patricio, the Euro 2016 winner,
has recently been tipped to join
Napoli, but that move has cooled
amid claims new Partenopei
boss Carlo Ancelotti isn't keen. That led to Wolves swooping
with an €18million offer of their
own. However, Record reports Sporting chief De Carvalho
placed a number of hurdles in the
way, making a deal impossible. Now the outspoken Sporting
president has subsequently
lashed out at Mendes. De Carvalho says Mendes
asked for a €3million cut of the
transfer fee, as well as another
€4million outstanding from the
transfer of midfielder Adrien
Silva, who joined Leicester in January for €25million.-Mirror
